New in Huchting: The seed library

Autumn has begun and many plants have now faded. For garden lovers, this is exactly the right time to harvest seeds from flowers and vegetable plants for the next gardening year. Would you like to support the variety of plants, preserve old plant varieties or exchange your own seeds? Then get involved in our seed library.

Many of our libraries are already participating. You can now find the exchange offer in the library in Huchting . Do you already have your own (reproducible) seeds? Then pick up an empty bag from us and bring it filled with you on your next visit.

This is how it works:

• Choose a bag
• Plant seeds at home in the garden, on the balcony or in a pot on the windowsill
• Wait until the plants have grown and enjoy the flowers or harvest vegetables or fruits
• Bring seeds from the harvested plants back to the library
• We are also happy to receive seeds from your own garden
• It is important that the seeds are “seed-proof” and do not come from hybrid plants!
