»Vernissage: Selfies – Textile Self-Portraits«
Description
For a year, women from different countries and cultures will be working in the Old Town Hall in Blumenthal on the topic “Who am I? Who do I want to be?”. Under the artistic direction of Luisa Recker and Aurelia Maria Foti, each woman painstakingly designed her own self-portrait, peppered with symbols that express her own image, character, wishes and ideas. The lecture takes place as part of the “Weeks of Action Together Against Exclusion and Discrimination” in the north of Bremen.
There will be a vernissage at the opening of the exhibition, where drinks and small snacks will be available.
A cooperation event between Quartier gGmbH and the Stadtbibliothek Bremen .
