An event as part of the Sustainability Action Days.
The focus of the Stadtbibliothek Bremen 's “Sustainability Action Week” this year is on the topic of “Democracy”.
In the digital age, protest culture is changing: flyers are giving way to Instagram posts, calls for donations are shifting from pedestrian zones to crowdfunding platforms. Global, split-second networking holds enormous potential, including for a rapid exchange of information and a contemporary protest movement. But there is a particular danger from disinformation and deliberate manipulation of opinions generated by AI. In addition, the platforms are in private hands, who in turn pursue their own interests. Which actors act online? How are digital campaigns designed? And how can I become active myself? These and other questions are the focus of this workshop. The participants' media and information skills are strengthened, and innovative techniques and digital methods are used.
