LeseArt with Detlef Stein: “Hans-Christian Andersen – Poet with pen and scissors”

Description

The lecture by and with the Bremen art historian Detlef Stein takes the audience into the fairytale and bizarre world of Hans-Christian Andersen. Stein tells the story of a boy from the poorest background who goes out into the world with a lot of confidence and a thirst for adventure - and conquers the world! His fairy tales such as The Chinese Nightingale or The Match Girl have touched millions of people across generations to this day.

other however, remained completely unknown because he only delighted his closest friends and their children with his surprising paper cutouts and collaged books. Whether exotic travel impressions or fairy tale characters, hangman or fantastic creatures, a whole world opens up in his works on paper.
