Fake News Workshop for Seniors
Description
The Internet makes it possible: news and information can be accessed from a wide variety of sources at any time. But this diversity of information also has its downsides. Because not everything that is on the internet is true. And: A lot of fake news looks authentic and serious at first glance. That's why no one is protected from fake news. Especially people who did not grow up in the digital world and are therefore not very familiar with the Internet sometimes have difficulty recognizing fake news. The Bremen State Media Authority therefore offers fake news workshops specifically for seniors in Bremen and Bremerhaven. In the 90-minute event, participants learn everything important about fake news and its dangers - in a very practical way using real examples. The seniors also get lots of useful tips on how they can expose fake news themselves.
