Description
The Harz around 1470. Copper and silver mining, once the region's lifeline, has almost come to a standstill due to plague, wars, flooding and mining accidents. The siblings Cordt and Anna Fredemann do everything they can to keep their father's heavily indebted mine running. When Cordt discovers a forgotten monastery treasure in an old tunnel, they decide to secretly take the find over the dangerous footbridges of the Upper Harz in order to use the money to pay off the debts. But robbers lie in wait for them and they have to flee into the forest without the treasure.
