Autobiographical writing

Description

“Every person has their story that is worth knowing.” (Friedrich Maximilian Klinger)

Course description:

Autobiographical writing invites you to think about individual stages or your entire life and to record memories verbally. It's by no means about a literary claim, but about the joy of writing and engaging with your own story. Writing impulses and writing exercises help you find your own voice. The course is explicitly aimed at people in the post-professional phase. This time not only brings with it a new and often unfamiliar freedom, but also raises one or two questions. The written examination of one's own life helps to approach questions or answers. This course is a free offer from the AWO project “The Red Thread for Retirement”. The project “The Red Thread for Retirement” is carried out as part of the program “Strengthening the participation of older people – against loneliness and social isolation” by the Federal Ministry for Family, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth and by the European Union through the European Social Fund Plus ( ESF Plus).

Please bring something to write with and a thick black felt-tip pen to your appointments. If available, glue sticks, scissors and colorful felt-tip pens are useful.
