Making robots dance or exploring virtual worlds with VR glasses – is that just for nerds? Not anymore. From October 8th to 23rd, children and young people Stadtbibliothek Bremen and tinker, hack, and experiment together in exciting workshops. can immerse themselves in the digital worlds of the during CodeWeek
To kick off CodeWeek on October 8th, the Central Library will be all about Makey circuit board kits. Visitors can create sounds on our piano . And on the activity area on the 2nd floor, we'll be demonstrating what else is possible with the kits. Of course, the kits can also be borrowed directly on site. In addition, there will be a station where the Ozobots and BeeBots mini-robots can be thoroughly tested.
A total of 16 workshops and hands-on activities for budding inventors aged 4 and up are taking place in our libraries. We'll show you how to teach robots to walk, how to bring figures and drawings to life digitally, and what your first programmed game can look like. And if you've ever dreamed of having a llama in the library, you can build your dream library in our Minecraft workshops, for example. Tips for using media in everyday family life are available at our parents' information afternoon.

CodeWeek takes place across Europe from October 8th to 23rd. The European CodeWeek was launched in 2013 and has been run by volunteers ever since. It is supported by the European Commission and, in Germany, by a team of volunteer ambassadors (CodeWeek Germany).
