Sustainability? Sure, of course!

Scientific lectures, expert talks, workshops and events for families: from September 18th to October 8th an extensive program in our libraries as part of the German Sustainability Action Week

At the start, Dr. Kira Vinke , head of the Center for Climate and Foreign Policy at the German Council on Foreign Relations/DGAP, on the consequences of climate change for humans. She reads from her book “Storm Nomads – How climate change is robbing us of our homes” . The subsequent discussion will be led by Prof. Dr. Rudolf Hickel moderates.

The science journalist and reef reporter Katharina Jakob (photo) is moving her workplace to the crime library of the Central Library (2nd floor) September 20th to 23rd There you can take part in one of their exciting workshops and expert talks on the topic of climate protection (see program below)...

Another highlight is the reading by Annette Mierswa , who from her climate thriller “We Are the Flood” September 26th . And on September 29th, the Foodsavers from Foodsharing invite you to a sustainability brunch with rescued food.
