Literature House podcast about the prison library

With its prison library at Oslebshausen Correctional Facility, the Stadtbibliothek Bremen operates a branch that most Bremen residents will probably never enter. Felix Krause from the Bremen Literature House visited and presents this unusual branch in the current episode of the podcast series. Library director Andreas Gebauer explains the exemplary nature of the facility, which is the only regular branch of a Stadtbibliothek located behind prison walls in Germany. Staff member Marion Nitschmann shares insights into her daily work. Felix Krause also speaks with three inmates of the correctional facility who regularly visit the library.
