Several hands on a bag from the Reading Start 1-2-3 campaign.

Free reading sets for children and parents

Early reading and storytelling promotes children's language development. Singing songs, looking at picture books, telling rhymes or stories – it’s all part of it.  The Reading Start 1-2-3 campaign by the Reading Foundation is a program to promote early language and reading among children. It is now giving out new reading sets for three-year-olds in libraries. These contain an age-appropriate picture book and other information material for parents.

We are taking part in the campaign. You can now pick up the free sets in our libraries.
