Seed library in the central library

Harvest seeds for our seed library now

Since April of this year, hobby gardeners have been able to borrow seeds from our newly created seed library. The principle is simple: take seeds with you, grow them, harvest them and then bring back the new, dried seeds.

The offer has been used very intensively in recent months. Many people from Bremen took plant seeds home with them and tried out a wide variety of vegetables and plant species.

Now it is time for the newly obtained (reproductive) seeds to find their way back into our seed library so that many people can benefit from them again in the coming year. You can take empty seed bags with you on the 2nd floor of the Central Library in the Agriculture section and simply bring them back on your next visit .

Don't have any seeds yet? Feel free to take a seed bag with you for next season and try it out. Numerous media in our agriculture and gardening sector will support you.

Next to the seed library is our new bee feeder. For 50 cents you can get a capsule with a regionally adapted flowering mixture to support bee rescue in your area.
