Intergalactic fun

Are you ready for an intergalactic adventure with your family? On November 11th, five of our libraries are inviting you to a big family day . Under the exciting motto “Off to space!”, children aged four and over await you in each of our participating libraries .

Experience a fantastic journey into space with Julia Warnecke, the puppeteer of the Stella Figura , with the puppet show “Hans in All”. Together with the Klimahaus Bremerhaven we are exploring the questions “Why is the earth too warm?” and “How does the greenhouse effect work?” Scientist Neele Meyer and Joel Schroth, education team leader, will give a captivating lecture on these important topics.

You can also look forward to a visit from Dr. Sabrina Melchionna from the Women in Aerospace network (WIA Bremen), an expert in aerospace technology who provides exciting insights into the secrets of space. The Universum Bremen invites you to its rocket workshop, where we will build flying objects together, which will later be tested for flight suitability at a rocket launch ramp. With the Olbers Planetarium we create sundials and star maps, while the Digital Impact Lab of the M2C Institute for Applied Media Research GmbH at Bremen University of Applied Sciences shows how space drawings are brought to life.

The diverse program is rounded off with picture book cinemas, face painting, spacey photo activities and an exciting space quiz.

If you feel like it, you can dress up to match the theme!
