Find your energy guzzlers!

You can borrow the energy saving box from us free of charge.

Did you already know that? You can borrow an energy saving box for a week from all branches and the central library using your BIBCard. This includes an energy cost monitor with which you can expose your domestic “energy guzzlers”. A small measuring device, inserted between the socket and the device to be examined, shows the power consumption of an electrical device. For example, the measuring device can also be used to reliably determine the annual operating costs of the refrigerator and thus answer the question of how a new purchase compares to the old device in terms of electricity consumption.
