CodeWeek Bremen: Tinkering, Hacking, Programming

A boring autumn? Not with us! Bremen is hosting its first-ever CodeWeek – and we're there! But what exactly is it? CodeWeek Bremen invites children, teenagers, and anyone interested to discover their passion for tinkering, hacking, and programming. In exciting workshops and hands-on events, they'll have the chance to look behind the scenes of the digital world and try their hand at creatively using hardware and software.

A total of 12 workshops and hands-on activities are available for all budding inventors aged 3 and up. We'll show you how to teach robots to walk, how to bring figures and drawings to life digitally, and how to control game heroes in a video game using everyday materials. The youngest visitors can try out the Bee-Bot and Ozobot learning robots and build our bus library in Minecraft using digital building blocks. We also offer introductory workshops for adults: a family day focused on robotics and a workshop on photo manipulation.

And, for those who can't find what they're looking for in our program, there are many other offers to choose from at CodeWeek Bremen.

CodeWeek Bremen will take place for the first time from October 9th to 24th. The EU CodeWeek was launched in 2013 – since then, the movement has been driven by volunteers. It is supported by the European Commission and, in Germany, by a team of volunteer ambassadors (CodeWeek Germany).
