Citizen information service opens in the West district library

Last Friday, Mayor Karoline Linnert opened the new Citizen Information Service (BIS) in the foyer of the West branch library. Citizens can receive advice or schedule appointments with government offices at a specially set up counter in the library's foyer.

“We are a very good fit; this is a promising partnership,” says Lucia Werder, Deputy Director of the Stadtbibliothek Bremen. “Our tasks as a library include cultural education, participation, integration, and free access to information. The Citizen Information Service further complements our portfolio.”

The BIS can be reached on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 11 am to 6 pm and on Saturdays from 10 am to 1 pm.
