Picture book cinema and discussion event for Integration Week

Every two years, Bremen's Integration Week offers an opportunity to engage in dialogue and collectively oppose discrimination, racism, and exclusion. Diverse people with a wide range of experiences and perspectives exchange ideas on topics such as diversity, integration, and harmonious coexistence. This year, the week takes place from November 1st to 6th. The motto is "Workers were called, but human beings came.".

We are participating in the program with numerous events. For example, we are offering multilingual picture book screenings for the youngest visitors at the Central Library as well as at the Osterholz and Huchting libraries. Families with children can also pick up free craft kits at the Central Library starting November 1st.

At the discussion event “Children of guest workers – Bremen eyewitnesses remember”, children of so-called “guest workers” have their say and tell the stories of their parents from their point of view.
