Visit to the prison library after renovation

On Tuesday (February 13, 2018), library director Barbara Lison and Andreas Gebauer (head of the prison library) received the representatives of the VGH, Martina Fragge and Stefanie Thiem, as well as Frank Müller from the ÖVB in the prison to visit the renovated prison library. The reason for the renovation work was the prison library's awarding of the VGH Foundation's library prize at the beginning of 2017. The jury for the library prize recognized the model character of the institution with the award and the prize money of 5,000 euros: It is the only regular branch of a Stadtbibliothek behind prison walls in Germany .
