53° Summer Holiday Club: Our holiday program starts

The summer holidays are just around the corner and this year the Stadtbibliothek is once again offering an extensive holiday program for children. Brand new media, exciting workshops and hands-on activities: Our free Summer Holiday Club 53° starts on July 16th. You can register your child now! The most important questions and answers at a glance:  

How does registration work? 

Children aged 6 to 12 can register for the 53° Summer Holiday Club in all libraries using their BIBCARD and become a club member. If you don't yet have a BIBCARD, you can get one for free, as students in the state of Bremen don't pay anything for it.  

There is an overview of the workshops and participation offers at www.53grad-hb.de There you can register your child directly for individual program items. Registration is also possible on site in the libraries. Please note: Participation in the workshops and participation offers is only possible for 53° club members.

How much does participation in the Summer Holiday Club cost? 

Participation in the 53° Summer Holiday Club is free of charge. The workshops and participation offers are also free of charge.  

Which age group are the offers aimed at? 

Children and young people aged 6 to 12 can take part in our summer holiday program. 

What kind of program does the 53° Summer Holiday Club offer?

Club members have a special privilege and are allowed to borrow new books, games, audio books and films from an exclusive inventory. No matter your taste – there is something for everyone. There are also cool participation offers such as bike tours, craft afternoons or a scavenger hunt. Children can also learn how to transform everyday objects such as bananas or play dough into gaming controllers in the three-day “Game Factory” workshop series. There will also be a creative competition again this year.
