Melanchthonstraße primary school gets its own school stop

The bus library is expanding its network: the rolling branch of the Stadtbibliothek Bremen will stop at the Melanchthonstrasse elementary school in Walle every 14 days on Fridays. On Friday, February 5th, the deputy library director Lucia Werder, bus library manager Matthias Weyh as well as Rainer Kulenkampff and Matthias Pfeiffer from the “Friends of the Stadtbibliothek ” association ceremonially inaugurated the school bus stop for the library bus in the presence of a language learning class from the school. After the students stuck the new location dot on the bus, the club gave the bus a book package with language learning books. From now on, the bus library stops in the schoolyard on Melanchthonstraße every Friday between 11.30 a.m. and 12.45 p.m.

On board the bus library, visitors can expect entertainment, information and knowledge: novels, guides, children's books, non-fiction books for school, work and leisure; from classics to current bestsellers; also CDs, films and software for the home PC.

Interested citizens also have access to the entire holdings of the Stadtbibliothek Bremen via the bus library: desired media can be selected from the over half a million media items on offer at the Stadtbibliothek Bremen and ordered directly to their “own” bus stop. The bus library stops at 27 stops throughout the city.
