Training
Do you enjoy working with diverse people, are open-minded and service-oriented and are you interested in all kinds of analog and digital media? Then vocational training to become a specialist in media and information services (FaMI) is just right for you!
The tasks of FaMIs include in particular:
- the provision of media and information
- the acquisition of media
- the development of media
- Inventory maintenance and presentation
- Planning & implementation of measures to promote reading
- Teaching information and media skills
- Organization of events
- technical media processing
In short, as FaMI you ensure that various analogue and digital media are available and easily accessible in the library. You are the contact person for visitors, help with research and use of the library's offerings. You promote media literacy, adapt offers to the needs of society and stay up to date with the latest technology. You also organize and plan events. It's a varied and never boring job!
You will be a good fit for us and our library if you act respectfully, appreciatively and with a high degree of service orientation. You should be interested in digital information systems, different media formats and technical innovations. Communication and teamwork are very important to us. We value multilingualism just as much as having fun planning and executing events.
You conclude the training contract with the training and further education center of the state of Bremen. As Stadtbibliothek , we are your practice center. You attend the vocational school at the Utbremen school center two days a week.
