"Opening: Selfies – Textile Self-Portraits"
Description
For a year, women from diverse countries and cultures have been working at the Old Town Hall in Blumenthal on the theme "Who am I? Who do I want to be?". Under the artistic direction of Luisa Recker and Aurelia Maria Foti, each woman painstakingly created her own self-portrait by hand, adorned with symbols that express her self-image, character, desires, and aspirations. The presentation is part of the "Action Weeks Together Against Exclusion and Discrimination" in Bremen's northern district.
The exhibition will open with a private viewing, where drinks and small snacks will be served.
A collaborative event by Quartier gGmbH and the Stadtbibliothek Bremen.
