»Trautmann – A film screening«

Description

As part of this year's Week of Viewing (October 8th to 15th) we are showing the audio film version of “Trautmann”. The moving German-British film biography (director: Marcus H. Rosenmüller) of the German football goalkeeper Bert (Bernd) Trautmann from Bremen. His talent as a goalkeeper is discovered in the prisoner of war camp. “Traut the Kraut” became a legend when he suffered a broken neck in a collision 17 minutes before the end of the FA Cup final in Manchester in 1956 and continued to play despite the pain.

The film is introduced by Heike Oldenburg: She was born in 1962 and lives in Bremen. She studied English and psychology. Long-term psychosocial commitment. She works on a voluntary basis in the areas of: articles and book reviews, readings, city tours on the history of psychiatry and literature. Her interests include comics/graphic novels, strong women, laughter. Experienced in psychiatry since 1989, rollator user since 2001.
