Description

Every language is a treasure. The more languages we carry within us, the richer we are in images and experiences. And we should definitely share these with the world.

Once a month on a Friday afternoon, Bremen-based language artist Donka Dimova at the Central Library. With simple writing prompts and guidance, she will help you express your thoughts and feelings in artistic texts.
No prior experience is necessary, nor is perfect German or any specific qualification required. The only important thing is that you are between 14 and 25 years old and eager to try something new.

Donka Dimova grew up in Bulgaria and learned German as a second language, eventually coming to love it, but it was a long process. "I was always told I was bad at German. That discouraged me from using the language creatively. It took many years before I dared to write poems in German. What a shame! That's why I want to help young people develop more ease and enjoyment with the language."
