To give as many people as possible the opportunity to learn more, the Huchting Service Center is offering a lecture on guardianship law: Bremen-based lawyer and specialist in family and inheritance law, Torsten Bruns, is a notary in Huchting. In his lecture, he will provide an overview of the legal requirements for legal guardianship of adults, introduce the relevant authorities, and present alternatives to legal guardianship. A question and answer session will follow.
The Huchting Service Center is offering a lecture series addressing the interest of many residents and exploring legal issues. Many questions are raised at the Huchting Service Center, an advice center run by the Paritätische Wohlfahrtsverband (Parity Welfare Association): What should I consider when appointing someone else to act on my behalf? Even if you already have an advance healthcare directive, you should consider additional powers of attorney for emergencies. To ensure your wishes are respected in all areas of life, you need to plan for the event that you are no longer able to represent your own interests. Equally important is the question of what friends and relatives who are caring for someone and have powers of attorney need to consider. What decisions are they authorized to make, and to whom are they accountable?
