"Develop more self-confidence through play with books"

Description

Children need to be aware of their own rights and learn to trust their own feelings. This is especially important when they are confronted with intrusive behavior from adults: Jacob doesn't want to sit on Aunt Hedda's lap, Aicha is annoyed by the teacher's strange remarks, and Kay avoids the chaperones' gaze at the youth camp and suddenly doesn't want to go next time.

Picture books can help children become more self-confident and learn to set boundaries. They can also serve as a tool for adults to support their children. On this day, we will take you and your children on a short journey through the world of picture books for children from age 4 to primary school age – using selected examples that empower children to become aware of their own rights and strengthen their resilience.
