Margit Ruile reads from "The Twin Code"

Description

When humans are merely an afterthought – Vincent's job is to repair pets. Because in the year 2058, much is different than today. Artificial intelligence, technology, and mechanical pets are everywhere. But Vincent isn't aware of just how far digitalization has reached. Until a mechanical cat leads him into a virtual world. A twin world where all objects lead their own digital lives. A world ruled by AI. A world that no longer needs us humans… Author Margit Ruile presents a gripping future scenario about the opportunities and dangers of the digital world in the style of "Black Mirror."

Margit Ruile was born in Augsburg in 1967. She studied at the Munich Film School, where, after graduating, she taught for more than ten years, directed documentaries, and worked as a script editor. She also first learned storytelling through film. Later, she discovered that writing feels like sitting in the editing room—with the enormous advantage that you don't have to reshoot missing scenes, but can simply invent them. She lives with her family in Munich.
