Katja Reider , born in 1960, studied German literature and journalism and worked as a press officer for the "Jugend forscht" (Youth Researches) competition before turning to writing. She has since published more than 150 books for children, young adults, and adults and gives numerous readings. She lives with her family in Hamburg.
