Dangers online – how to keep children safe

In her presentation, Stefanie Roters (Bremen Police Prevention Center) will first examine children's media use. How digital is their everyday life? How much time do they spend online on average, and which services do they use? She will then focus on the dangers children may encounter online.

The focus will be on cyber grooming and pornography. The legal background will be explained, practical tips on behavior and prevention will be given, and participants will learn what to do if children are confronted with illegal content. They will also receive information about available support services and where to find help.
