
Alice Horáčková and Eli Beneš: Young Czech literature
Description
On World Book Day and as part of the Czech Republic's guest of honor appearance at the Frankfurt Book Fair, we are introducing two young Czech authors who will be discussing their new books. Eli Beneš is a Czech writer. He debuted in 2023 with the novel "Nepatrná ztráta osamělosti" (Imperceptible Loss of Loneliness). For this work, he received the Magnesia Litera Prize for Debut of the Year. Alice Horáčková wrote literary interviews and reviews for the daily newspaper "Mladá fronta Dnes" (Middle of the Day). Her novel "Rozpůlený dům" (The Divided House) will be published in German translation by Diogenes in September 2026.
