50th Bremen Literary Week: Literature workshop with Dr. Stephanie Schaefers: “Freedom told briefly? – Short stories from contemporary literature”
Description
A jump into the water, an encounter in a train compartment – sometimes freedom begins in a single moment. Short stories capture such moments: intense, surprising, often with a twist after which nothing is ever the same again.
In this workshop, we will read contemporary short stories in which characters seek, find, or lose their freedom. We will discuss how authors condense these experiences and which narrative techniques they use. This workshop is for anyone interested in discussing literature. No prior knowledge is required. The texts will be distributed at the beginning of the workshop.
