"49th Literary Week: "Trip with a Drip" – Reading & Discussion with Josephine Mark"
Description
Personal crises are represented in Josephine Mark's *Trip with a Drip* by a diverse cast of characters. First, there's the wolf. Because he accidentally saved his life, he suddenly has a rabbit on his hands. Rabbits! You just eat them and that's that! If it weren't for the wolf code, which obligates him to now take care of the little rodent's well-being. However, this wolf faces its own existential challenges – after all, he's dragging around a bothersome IV drip and a lengthy medication regimen. These infusions, the constant nausea. And now a wolf too! Wolves! They just gobble you up and that's it! But this wolf is so... different. And, to his credit, he knows what he's doing.
Together with Josephine Mark and her unlikely group of friends, we embark on a fast-paced road trip during a reading, complete with all the trappings: trigger-happy hunters, cheap motels, bears, and freezing IV bags. The subsequent panel discussion and audience Q&A will not only provide insights into the background and creation of this successful comic, but also explore the possibilities of artistically portraying and making tangible experiences of crisis.
