Playful language development with all senses from the very beginning!
In the weekly “Poems for Little Ones” groups of the Stadtbibliothek Bremen children aged 0 to 3 years and their companions meet to discover songs, rhymes, finger and movement games and the exciting world of picture books together
Even the youngest children quickly grasp their first words during the action songs and imaginatively reenact them. The detailed, colorful illustrations further encourage participation. In addition to guided picture book viewing, children also have time for their own exploration, including touching and feeling.
The aim is to give children the space to playfully engage with books and language , stimulating all their senses. Parents are offered suggestions for everyday life.
The “Poems for Wichtel” event takes place in the central library, as well as in the district libraries of Huchting, Lesum, Vahr, Gröpelingen, Vegesack and Osterholz .
