Holiday fun at the Stadtbibliothek

A summer full of ideas: At SOMMER BLUB, the Stadtbibliothek Bremen a meeting place for everyone who wants to experience, try out, and discover something new during the holidays. From June 20 to August 12, 2026, children aged 6 to 12+ can expect a diverse program with media, activities, and plenty of opportunities to participate.

Even before the summer holidays begin, the latest SOMMER BLUB media await you: books, games, audiobooks, DVDs and board games – exclusively for SOMMER BLUB members! The event program in the libraries then starts with the beginning of the summer holidays.

There's plenty to do both indoors and outdoors: honey extractors, insect adventures, escape rooms, quiz tournaments, gaming, and much more. You can tinker, research, draw, play games, and solve puzzles.

Creative kids will also find plenty to enjoy: they can try their hand at tie-dyeing, manga drawing, street art, origami, and upcycling. They can also make souvenir magnets, frisbees, and even banjos. Those with a passion for words or music will find something to love in the writing workshop or the guitar workshop. And of course, there's plenty of exercise: for a more relaxed experience, try yoga or mini-golf, or for an action-packed adventure, try laser tag.

It's worth participating: For every three stickers collected in the sticker campaign, you'll receive a small surprise . You can easily earn stickers by reading BLUB books and participating in the BLUB event program.

Registration for the SUMMER BLUB starts on June 20, 2026 , and is quick and easy with the free library card. Those who don't yet have a library card can get one directly at the library. Afterwards, the exclusive media can be borrowed immediately. Registration for the activities is possible on-site.
