Questions and answers about the online lending service 3.0

The Stadtbibliothek Bremen has switched to the new Onleihe 3.0 platform. The previous Onleihe app and access methods are therefore no longer available.

What do I need to be aware of when using the Onleihe app?

With the release of Onleihe 3.0, a new app has also been introduced. The previous Onleihe app is no longer compatible. If you wish to use Onleihe on a smartphone or tablet, please download the new Onleihe 3.0 app:

What do I need to consider when using the online library with an e-reader?

You can continue to use the Onleihe 3.0 service with a tolino or PocketBook e-reader. To do so, log in via the redesigned Onleihe website at bremen.onleihe.de .

What do I need to be aware of when using the online library on my PC or laptop?

You can use the Onleihe 3.0 service via the newly designed Onleihe website at bremen.onleihe.de .

Do I need to create a new account?

No. Your existing account will be automatically transferred to Onleihe 3.0.

Can I use my existing password?

Your library account password must be at least six characters long to use Onleihe 3.0. If you have previously used a four-character password, please change it before logging into Onleihe 3.0 for the first time. You can change your password here.

What happens to my loans, reservations, and watchlists?

Your loans, reservations and wish lists will be automatically transferred to the online lending platform 3.0.

Can I continue to use the previous version of the online library?

No. The previous version will no longer be available after the switchover. The online lending service will be migrated to the new version nationwide.

What are the technical requirements for Onleihe 3.0?

The Onleihe guide, containing the most important information at a glance, is also available there. We also recommend keeping your device's operating system up to date and checking whether your device meets the technical requirements for Onleihe 3.0 before using the service.
